Skills After School is a fun, after school club where participants learn all the key skills required to be successful in the game of soccer & futsal. The Club is held directly after school on school grounds.
We include speed, agility and balance activities, which are also transferable skills that can be used in nearly any sport.
The great thing about Skills After School Club is that it is a fun, no pressure environment. Our team incorporates learning into fun drills and activities, which appropriately challenge players and promote healthy physical activity and important social skills, such as teamwork and communication.
This program is most ideal for players whose skill level ranges from new to soccer to lower level competitive. Come train with us!
Where does my child meet their coach? Your coach will meet your child on campus. Sessions take place directly after class at your child's school field (for soccer) and school blacktop / playground (for futsal). Our coaches wear a red Vision Soccer Training or blue Futsal Factory shirts for easy identification. Please help your child find us after school, by reminding them where to meet their coach on the first day.
What should they wear / bring? We suggest kiddos come to school in, or have a change of clothes for an outfit that is comfortable to run around in and can become dirty.
Do they need equipment / cleats? No. Their coach will bring all necessary equipment, including balls. All participants should wear tennis shoes or cleats (for soccer programs) if they have them. Tennis shoes or futsal shoes are always worn for futsal programs. Shin guards are not necessary.
What happens if they can't attend class? If for any reason, your child can not attend the class, please contact our office in advance by phone - 916.837.0336 or email us. For safety reasons, we have to post-pone the start of our sessions until all players are located or accounted for. This can delay the start of class for students who are present. Your cooperation and pro-active communication is much appreciated.
What is futsal? Futsal is a small-sided game (5v5) played on a hard-top surface, like a basketball court or blacktop. The game originated in South America and is credited for creating many famous South American soccer players. Futsal should be played in combination with soccer to create the most well-rounded players. This is a fun, fast game and is similar to soccer. Please no cleats for this program.
