The high school soccer season is just around the corner and it's time to register for our specially designed high school tryout prep program to give yourself the edge over the competition. Join players from high schools throughout the area for a series of weekly session which focus on helping players sharpen their technical, tactical and physical side of the game.
Each session will be split into 3 training blocks with block focusing on a different element of the game to ensure players are ready to go the first day of tryouts.
These training blocks will include:
1 – Physical – The physical block will focus on developing some of the most important fitness components in soccer. These components are speed, agility and endurance. Activities used in this training block will help players develop their ability to move quickly, explode to the ball and change direction quickly, all while maintaining a high work rate for extended periods.
2 - Technical – The technical block of each training session will focus on players developing and sharpening higher level technical skills. Players will work on passing and receiving the ball at different heights, with different surfaces. Striking and finishing from different angles and in different situations. Improving individual dribbling skills with the ball and improving confidence in 1v1 situations.
3 – Tactical – The tactical block of each session helps players improve their tactical understanding of the game through the use of small and larger group activities. Key areas of focus will be group defending and attacking concepts, along with transition from one to the other.
