"In futsal you need to think quick and play quick so it's easier for you when you move to normal football (outdoor soccer)." - Pele
What Is Futsal
Futsal Originated in Uruguay back in 1930 when Juan Carlos Ceriani created a modified soccer game which was played on a basketball-sized court, both indoors and outdoors.
Once the game had been created it gained rapid popularity throughout South America, particularly in Brazil. The game is played with a ball that has less bounce than a regular soccer ball, which means almost everything is on the floor which helps develop fantastic footskills.
The benefits of the game can be seen in the world famous skills displayed by Brazilian greats such as Pele, Zico, Socrates, Ronaldinho and Robinho and others who developed their skill playing Futsal.
The game is now played around the world as it is recognized as one of the best ways for players to develop individual skills and improve their decision making in games.
