The U8 Foundation program provides a bridge between recreational and competitive soccer for U8 boys and girls. This program is for players who want to participate in rec soccer this year, and comp soccer with ARFC in subsequent years. By extending the traditional rec soccer season, players have additional training and game play opportunities, which more closely resembles a competitive soccer league.
The U8 Foundation program runs from June through July. During this time, all training is led by professionally trained instructors, with assistance from parent coaches. Under the guidance of their coaches, players will develop individual technical skills and basic tactical concepts at a higher level than traditional rec play. With a longer season than traditional rec, players have extended training and game play opportunities.
Training wraps up just in time for players to join their traditional rec season. We hope to see players back out there next year for ARFC's competitive U9 program.
